Globespan Travel Management prioritizes giving back through charitable partnerships and providing sustainable travel options for all employees from a range of industries. We take a proactive approach to philanthropy and sustainability in travel, while adding value to client corporate strategies.
Our team ensures secure travel and reliable assistance for all travellers, including solo and minority travelers, such as single female travellers (angel secure travel) and LGBTQ+ travellers, with support of Maiden Voyage, in addition to organizations working to exert a positive universal impact.
Tourism Cares
We contribute to Tourism Cares, the travel and tourism industry’s community for giving and volunteering. We support in helping to preserve and enrich the travel experience in the U.S., Canada and around the world. Together we bring the industry’s talent, resources and influence to help destinations in need, as well as support the next generation of travel professionals.
Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada
GTM gives back to the Children's Wish Foundation, a uniquely Canadian charity that helps children, families and communities by granting the favorite wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
Canadian Blood Services
Our team hosts blood drives in support of Canadian Blood Services. Staff are encouraged to donate blood and in return are provided with a half-day off work plus transport to and from the clinic.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada
The mission of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since 1955, LLSC has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today. We participate annually in LLSC's "Light the Night Walk", raising more than $7,500 for LLSC.
Project Rhino
Our team is committed to the preservation of the world’s unique environment and wildlife. One of our programs is to support the work done by Project Rhino, who collaborate with anti-poaching and wildlife economy initiatives to share strategies and best practices on protecting white and black rhino populations.
World Wildlife Fund
We also contribute to the World Wildlife Fund, Canada’s largest international conservation organization. Using the best scientific analysis and indigenous guidance, they work to conserve species at risk, protect threatened habitats, and address climate change.
Sustainable Travel Practices
We collaborate with Meetings & Events clients on a sustainability agenda to develop and produce more sustainable and environmentally conscious events. We offer carbon offset programs for our corporate and events clients to align with sustainability goals and strategies.
From large chains to small boutique hotel partners, we implement ‘Green Programs’ to minimize environmental footprints across their properties for their guests and event planners. These efforts include plastic-free events, water stations instead of bottles, paperless initiatives, energy and water conservation, vegan and vegetarian meal offerings and seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients across food and beverage programs.
Our top air suppliers are undertaking multi-year efforts to meet carbon neutral status by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
